Grub error 15
Problem
The Grub boot loader does not work after a successful OS installation using Linux software RAID. At launch, the program report Grub error 15.
Solution
There is a bug in the Linux installer (RHEL4, Fedora Core) that does not create the master boot record correctly when using software RAID. To fix the problem, boot the system into the rescue mode and update the master boot record manually. The procedure is described in the following FAQ:
