Disk Partitioning
By default, the EXT4 or XFS journaling file system is used for all Linux partitions. As a service for our customers, customized disk partitioning can be specified when placing the order. To prevent misconfiguration, please send the disk partitioning information via e-mail to processing@aslab.com. To identify the order, please reference the sale order (quote) number.
Special disk partitioning information:
- When ordering the system with both Linux and Microsoft Windows, it is necessary to specify the disk space to be allocated for Windows.
- When a system is installed with both Linux and Microsoft Windows, Linux will be the default boot operating system.
System Customization
As a valuable service for our customers, the system can be further customized at the factory. Besides the standard disk partitioning, the following system information can also be specified:
- Network settings: including host name, domain name, static IP address, gateway and name server(s). By default, the network is configured using DHCP.
Shipping Information
The delivery time frame is from five to seven working days plus transit time. ASL will inform you of estimated shipment dates but will not be responsible for delays in delivery due to events beyond our control including shortage of components, transportation failure, or acts of God.
Products are shipped insured via UPS, FedEx or other shipping couriers. The FOB point is Fremont, California, unless otherwise stated.
