Cannot play wave files on CMI 8738 Sound Card
Problem:
Audio CDs play ok, but playing a WAV file using artsplay does not produce any sound when using CMI 8738 (SC-CM8738-6CH) sound card.
Distributions Effected:
- Fedora Core 4
- SuSE 9.3
Solution:
Run kmix, select Switches, and disable Exchange DAC
