When running SuSE 2.4.21-99 kernel under Supermicro X5DPL motherboard, the ACPI interrupt count is astronomical.
Affected boards:

Affected models:
- Lancelot 1852, 2852, 3852, 4852
- Sovereign 3852
Solution
Disable ACPI by adding the kernel parameter 'acpi=off' to /etc/grub.conf or upgrade the kernel to a newer version.
