3Ware 9750 not detected by installer
Problem:
The 3ware 9750 controller is not detected by the operating system installer. Booting from a rescue disc and running lspci shows that the card is not present.
Affected Platforms:
- Omega 1916-TR2
Solution:
The following BIOS option:
ADVANCED->PCI/PNP CONFIGURATION->SBX1 SETTING
Should be set to: 2 x8
The default setting of auto results in the card being unavailable to the operating system.
