The gam_server process segfaults
Problem:
The gam_server process segfaults, generating messages similar to the following:
gam_server[5502]: segfault at 0000000000000057 rip 00002aaaaabe44f4 rsp 00007fff08229d20 error 4 gam_server[5689]: segfault at 0000000000000072 rip 00002aaaaabe44f4 rsp 00007fff22a13840 error 4
Details:
This is caused by a bug in the gamin package as described in this bugzilla report:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=132354
Solution:
This bug has been resolved in an updated version of gamin. Since Fedora Core 3 is no longer receiving updates, the package cannot be upgraded via yum. The updated packages can be found at the Fedora projects archive:
