Red Hat Network unable to update packages due to kernel dependency error

Details

The following packages have kernel dependency that require the non-ASL FC4 kernel. Because these packages fails the dependency check, the entire update process is aborted.

Solution

Exclude these four packages. Do not check the selection box that select all packages and then exclude these packages. That will not work. Instead, manually select all but these packages.

A simpler solution is to run the yum command below. 

# yum --exclude=*kernel* update
