Details:
The kernel in Fedora 11 contains a new kernel mode setting (KMS) driver for ATI video hardware. This driver is intended for use on systems with 3D accelerated ATI video cards. The embedded video controller on the Marquis K942 provides only low end 2D support and is not compatible with the KMS driver.
Solution:
To avoid the hang, pass the following parameter to the installer:
nomodeset
